Accounting for the Commissioner

Testamentary trustees are required in the state of Virginia to submit an annual accounting to the commissioner of accounts of the circuit court in their jurisdiction. We have extensive experience preparing these reports and can assist in their preparation and submission. These can be complicated and time consuming and we can make this process much smoother for a testamentary trustee.

Additionally, some trusts have requirements written into their governing document to provide periodic reporting of inflows and outflows of assets. We also have experience preparing such reports and can make the process easier for the fiduciary.

We also have experience preparing estate accountings for the commissioner of accounts for as long as an estate is open.
